We do not report to your employer
Many people in health care worry that asking for help will reach a manager, a board or a badge office. Here is exactly how we handle it.
We do not contact your employer
Not your manager, human resources, occupational health or a licensing board, and not to say you are a client.
Reminders say only what you choose
A text, a call or an email, with only our name and your time. Say if voicemail is not safe and we do not leave one.
You set the times
Early mornings, evenings and Saturdays, so you never have to explain an absence from work.
You choose how to pay
Insurance, paying yourself or a program at work. We tell you what each one sends, and to whom, before you decide.

Limits
Where privacy has limits
We would rather you hear this from us first.
The law
We release information only with your written permission, or where the law requires it: a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, or the abuse or neglect of a child or a vulnerable adult.
Your own forms
We do not write evaluations or fitness-for-duty letters. If you sign a release for a form from your employer or a board, we tell you what it says before you sign.
Work programs
A counseling program run by your employer can have its own rules about what it reports. Ask them, and ask us if you would like to compare.
Questions about privacy
Does my clinician talk to my manager?
No. We do not contact your manager, human resources or occupational health.
Will my licensing board find out?
We do not report to your board. Some applications ask about treatment; your clinician can talk with you about how to read the question, and does not answer it for you.
What does a reminder say?
Our name and your appointment time. Nothing about therapy.
Can I use a nickname or a personal email?
A personal email, yes. Your legal name is needed for insurance and for your record.
Book it your way
Tell us how to reach you and when it is safe. We do the rest.
