Your first session

What happens, step by step

It is 50 minutes to see whether we fit. You decide nothing that day.

  • Before you come

A short form with your contact details and how you would like us to reach you. We check any benefits and tell you what we found.

  • When you arrive

A quiet waiting room, a clinician who comes to find you, and a room with the door closed. Or a link, if you chose video.

  • In the room

Your clinician explains confidentiality and its limits, and asks what brought you in. There are no tests, and you can say as much or as little as you like.

  • Before you leave

You choose a rhythm, or take a few days to think. If it does not fit, we suggest another clinician.

Before your first session

Do I need to bring anything?

A photo ID, and your insurance card if you are using a plan. Nothing else.

Can I come straight from a shift?

Yes. Many people do, in scrubs or uniform. There is a quiet room if you want a few minutes first.

What if I want to stop after one session?

You can. Tell us and we explain what happens next. You do not have to give a reason.

Ready for the first one?

Tell us the times you can do and we suggest a clinician.
